Tap to Pay on iPhone is available in the SimpleTix Organizer app when selling tickets via Square. On iPhone Xs or later, using the latest version of iOS, you can accept all types of in-person, contactless payments right on your iPhone—from physical debit and credit cards to Apple Pay and other digital wallets—no extra terminals/readers needed. It’s easy, secure, and private.

How do I Enable Tap to Pay on iPhone?

To enable Tap to Pay on iPhone for your Square merchant account, you need to access the SimpleTix Organizer app from your Owner or Administrator account. On this account, you will be able to accept the Tap to Pay on iPhone terms and conditions. Once these terms are accepted, all accounts in your organization will be able to choose Tap to Pay on iPhone as your method of taking payment.

How do I accept payments with Tap to Pay on iPhone?

You have two options for how to select Tap to Pay on iPhone as your method of taking payment:
  • In the sidebar of the SimpleTix Organizer app, click Connect a Square Reader. Ensure all appropriate permissions are enabled, then click Connect Reader and choose Tap to Pay on iPhone
  • In checkout, when clicking Buy Now on a credit/debit card order you’ll be offered the same reader options where you can select Tap to Pay on iPhone
Once you’ve chosen Tap to Pay on iPhone, all you need to do is tap the customer’s credit/debit card or phone to your phone to accept the payment. You’ll then be routed back to the SimpleTix Organizer app to complete the order.
