Managing Waivers in SimpleTix
Learn how to effectively manage waivers using Smartwaiver integration or built-in features in SimpleTix, including setup and status tracking.
Managing Waivers in SimpleTix
1. Using Smartwaiver (Third-Party Integration)
A. Setting Up Smartwaiver with SimpleTix
- Create a Smartwaiver account at the Smartwaiver website.
- In Smartwaiver, obtain your unique webhook URL by following their instructions.
- Log in to your Manager Portal.
- Navigate to your event settings and go to the Integrations section. Replace the placeholder “your_event_id” in URLs (e.g., https://manager.simpletix.com/orders/attendee-management/your_event_id) with your actual event ID.
- In the integration settings, locate the Smartwaiver option and paste your webhook URL.
- Finally, select the appropriate Smartwaiver template you’ve created to match your event’s waiver requirements.
SimpleTix currently only supports setting a waiver for each distinct ticket. This means if someone purchases four tickets, they will receive four waivers.
B. Checking Waiver Status & Sending Reminders
- To view waiver status:
- Log in to your Manager Portal.
- Click Events.
- Select your event.
- Click Attendee List.
- Scroll until you see the Smartwaiver column:
- A green check indicates a signed waiver.
- A link icon indicates the waiver remains unsigned.
- For order-specific details, check under Order Management by clicking Admission Details for that order.
- Log in to your Manager Portal.
- To send a waiver reminder:
- In the Attendee Management section, click Options and choose Smartwaiver Reminder.
- Enter the email subject and body message. The system automatically inserts the correct waiver link for each attendee who has not signed.
- An email reminder is then sent to expedite the check-in process.
2. Using Built-In Options
A. SimpleTix Terms & Conditions
- Customize your general terms and conditions by navigating to Settings > Terms and Conditions.
- All purchasers will be required to acknowledge these terms during checkout.
B. Attendee Questions
- For event-specific confirmations or waivers, use the Attendee Questions feature.
- This allows you to add custom questions (such as a waiver acknowledgment) during registration.
