Important: For Square in Canada, the UK, and Australia, and Auth.net fees are settled monthly. Even if you pass these fees on to your buyer, the full ticket amount + fees initially goes to your bank account. At the end of each month, SimpleTix charges your credit card for those accumulated fees.

2. Setting Up Your Processor

  1. Log In
Go to manager.simpletix.com and sign in with your credentials.

  2. Go to Settings → Store

    • In the top menu, click Settings.
    • In the left-hand panel, select Store (or use this direct link).
  3. Choose & Connect

    • Pick your desired processor (Square, Stripe, or Authorize.net, depending on availability).
    • Follow the prompts to log in or create an account with that processor.
  4. Verify & Test

    • Ensure your account is verified with the processor.
    • Test a small transaction to confirm everything works smoothly.

3. Square’s Special Offer (US Only)

If you don’t have a payment processor yet and you’re located in the United States, Square is offering $2,000 of free processing for new accounts. Sign up at this link.

  • Make sure to fully verify your identity in Square and add a bank account to receive payments. Square will not let you process payments on SimpleTix until this is done

4. Key Notes

  • In-Transaction vs. Monthly Fees
    • Using Stripe or Square (US only) means transaction fees are deducted immediately. You will not need to have a credit card on the account (except for the special case of cash tickets and Square Gift cards).
    • Using Square in Canada, the UK, or Australia requires you to settle fees at the end of each month.
  • Taxes & Payouts
    • SimpleTix doesn’t hold funds or handle tax forms. Your payment processor manages these details.
    • All ticket revenue goes directly to your processor account — SimpleTix never touches your money.
    • There’s no need to provide SimpleTix with an EIN or bank account info; those details go to the processor.
