Interactive Data Analysis: The SimpleTix Analytics Center provides real-time visual insights directly in your browser, allowing you to filter and analyze data across all events or dive deep into specific event metrics.

Accessing the Analytics Center

  1. Log in to your SimpleTix Manager account at https://manager.simpletix.com
  2. Click Reports on the top rail
  3. Select Analytics from the dropdown menu

Overview of the Analytics Center Interface

The Analytics Center is organized into two main tabs, each with its own set of filters and data tables:

Interface Components

  • Tabs: Choose between “All Events” or “Event Summary” views
  • Filters: Control which data is displayed based on date ranges, events, event types, and more
  • Run Report Button: Click this to execute the report with your selected filters
  • Results Area: Displays summary statistics and detailed tables with your filtered data

No data will appear until you select your filters and click the “Run Report” button. The results area remains minimized until the report is run.

Using the “All Events” Tab

The All Events tab provides a high-level view across multiple events, making it ideal for comparing performance and identifying trends.

Available Filters

  • Date Range: Select a preset range (Today, Last 7 Days, This Month, etc.) or specify a custom date range
  • Events: Choose specific events to include or select all events
  • Event Status: Filter by event status (Active, Archived, Draft)
  • Event Type: Filter by event type (General Admission, Reserved Seating, Flex Pass)

Understanding the Results

After clicking “Run Report,” you’ll see:

  1. Summary Statistics: Key metrics displayed at the top of the results area

    • Total Sales
    • Number of Orders
    • Number of Tickets Sold
    • Number of Tickets Scanned
    • Percentage of Tickets Scanned
    • Average Tickets per Order
    • Average Order Size
  2. Events Table: Breakdown of metrics by individual event

    • Sort columns by clicking the column headers
    • Use pagination controls to navigate between pages
    • Access event-specific actions via the dropdown menu next to each event
  3. Square Items Section: If applicable, displays Square product sales data

    • Total Sales for Square items
    • Number of Orders with Square items
    • Number of Items Sold and Redeemed
    • Percentage of Items Redeemed
  4. Donations Section: If applicable, shows donation metrics

    • Total Donations
    • Number of Donations
    • Average Size of Donation

Using the “Event Summary” Tab

The Event Summary tab provides an in-depth analysis of a single event’s performance metrics.

Selecting an Event and Filters

  1. Choose a specific event from the dropdown at the top
  2. Apply additional filters:
    • Date Range: Same options as the All Events tab
    • Event Time: Select specific event times within the chosen event
    • Event Ticket: Filter by specific ticket types within the selected event

Understanding the Results

After clicking “Run Report,” you’ll see:

  1. Summary Statistics: Same key metrics as the All Events tab, but specific to the selected event

    • For Flex Pass events, an additional metric “Average Scans per Ticket” is displayed
  2. Event Times Table (for GA and Reserved Seating events):

    • Toggle “Show Tickets” to view data broken down by ticket type within each event time
    • View performance metrics for each time slot
  3. Tickets Table (all event types):

    • Shows performance data broken down by ticket type
    • For Flex Pass events, includes “Average Scans per Ticket” metric
  4. Square Items and Donations Sections:

    • Same as All Events tab but filtered to the selected event

Copying and Downloading Data

The Analytics Center makes it easy to export your data for further analysis:

  • Copy to Clipboard: Click this button above any table to copy all data (even rows not currently visible) to your clipboard
  • Download as CSV: Download the complete table data as a CSV file
    • Files are sent to the Download Center
    • A notification will appear with a link to access your download

When downloading the Event Times table data, the “Ticket Name” column is only included in the CSV if the “Show Tickets” toggle was ON when the report was run.

Understanding Key Metrics

Sales and Order Metrics

  • Total Sales: Sum of all revenue from ticket sales, Square items, and donations
  • Number of Orders: Count of unique orders
  • Average Order Size: Total Sales divided by Number of Orders

Ticket Metrics

  • Number of Tickets Sold: Total count of tickets sold
  • Number of Tickets Scanned: Total count of tickets scanned
  • Percentage of Tickets Scanned: Number of Tickets Scanned divided by Number of Tickets Sold
  • Average Tickets per Order: Number of Tickets Sold divided by Number of Orders
  • Average Days Between Purchase and Scan: Average number of days between ticket purchase and first scan

Flex Pass Specific Metrics

  • Average Scans per Ticket: Total number of scans divided by the number of Flex Pass tickets sold

Square Item Metrics

  • Number of Items Sold: Count of Square items sold
  • Number of Items Redeemed: Count of Square items marked as redeemed
  • Percentage Items Redeemed: Number of Items Redeemed divided by Number of Items Sold
  • Percentage Orders with Square Item: Percentage of orders containing at least one Square item

Donation Metrics

  • Total Donations: Sum of all donation amounts
  • Number of Donations: Count of individual donation transactions
  • Average Size of Donation: Total Donations divided by Number of Donations

Tips for Working with Large Reports

  • Selecting a narrower date range or fewer events can improve performance
  • The “Run Report” button prevents the page from freezing while data is being fetched
  • For very large datasets, consider using filters to focus on specific time periods or event types
