What is Tap to Pay on Android?
Tap to Pay on Android is available in the SimpleTix Organizer app when selling tickets via Square or Stripe. You can accept in-person, contactless payments right on your Android phone, from physical debit and credit cards to Google Pay and other digital wallets, no extra terminals/readers needed.Using an iPhone? Are there device requirements?
- Android 11 or later with Google Play Services (the SimpleTix Organizer app itself requires Android 7.0 or later)
- NFC and Contactless Payments turned on in your device settings. If either is off, the app shows a prompt with an Open Settings button.
- Device must not be rooted or running a custom ROM
How do I enable Tap to Pay on Android?

To enable Tap to Pay on Android for your Square merchant account, you need to access the SimpleTix Organizer app from your Owner or Administrator account. On this account, you will be able to accept the Tap to Pay terms and conditions. Once these terms are accepted, all accounts in your organization will be able to choose Tap to Pay as your method of taking payment.The steps below apply when your Square Version setting is Mobile Payments SDK - USA Only (Settings > Square Version). If you use POS API mode, Tap to Pay is still available — the SimpleTix Organizer app hands your cart to the Square POS app, where you select Tap to Pay as the payment method.
How do I accept payments with Tap to Pay on Android?

Open Square reader settings
In the sidebar of the SimpleTix Organizer app, tap Connect Square Reader. Ensure all appropriate permissions are enabled. If NFC is off, the app will prompt you to turn on NFC and Contactless Payments — tap Open Settings to do so.

Choose Tap to Pay
Tap Connect Reader and choose Tap to Pay.
