Ticket Delivery
Overview of the three ticket delivery methods, their update behaviors, customization options, and QR code support.
Ticket Delivery Methods
At SimpleTix, there are three primary ticket delivery methods. Below is a table that summarizes each method, its update behavior when event details change, the customization options available, and QR code support.
Type | Delivery Method | Auto-update Behavior | Customization Options | QR Code |
---|---|---|---|---|
PDF Ticket | Sent via Email | Does not update automatically | Order notes and attendee questions can be added | Included |
Wallet Ticket | Apple/Google Wallet | Does not update automatically | A short note can be added | Included |
Mobile eTicket | Link to Mobile eTicket | Auto-updates if event details change | Order notes and attendee questions can be added | Included |
All three delivery methods will be issued to customers based on their ticket purchase, but note the differences in update behavior and available customizations.
Note:
PDF and Wallet tickets are static once delivered, meaning if event details change after delivery, these tickets will not update. In contrast, mobile eTickets are dynamic and will reflect any changes to the event details automatically. You have the option to re-send e-tickets if things change.
For further customization, you can add additional messaging or instructions via order notes and attendee questions to enhance the customer experience.
Feel free to reach out to SimpleTix Support if you have questions or need assistance with specific ticket delivery setups.
