How to Bulk Create Promo Codes

SimpleTix allows you to easily create a list of automatically generated promo codes.

This saves you time on having to manually think of multiple unique alphanumeric codes for your event.

To bulk-create promo codes:

1. Go to manager.simpletix.com

2. Once logged in, from the top menu click on Events.

5. On the left panel, click Promo Code.

7. In the dropdown list, select Generate Bulk Codes.

This will initiate a pop-up for your code specifications.

8. Specify how many codes you want to be generated.

9. For easy access, you'll need to create a category for the codes or use an existing one.

10. If you chose to create a new category, you'll get a small pop-up box.

Add the Category Name for the codes that will be generated.

11. Once done, click Save to continue.

12. Specify the number of times each code can be used.

13. Add how many tickets within the order the code can be applied to.

For example, someone buys 10 tickets in 1 order.
If you set 3, only 3 of the 10 tickets will be discounted.

14. Add in your preferred date and time for the generated codes' expiration.

15. Confirm if the promo code will have taxes applied or not.

16. Choose the type of discount you want to be applied.

Flat Rate per Ticket - reduces the ticket cost by a fixed value.
Percentage Discount - reduces the cost based on a percentage of the ticket price.

18. Confirm which event(s) the generated codes will be valid for.

Valid on All Events - allows the code to be used across all events on your SImpleTix site.
Valid on <Event Name & Time> - allows you to select which event times the code is valid for.
Valid only for <Event Sections / Price Groups> - allows you to select which ticket category the code can be used for.

19. Once done, click Create Promo Code to finalize your changes.

20. You'll receive a pop-up confirming that the codes were created successfully.

If you need a list of all the generated codes, click the download button at the top right.
Click Close to proceed.
