SimpleTix Fee Structure
Illustrative examples of Standard SimpleTix US pricing. You can always find your fees under Settings > Your Plan Overview of Fees:- For every paid ticket sold online, the total fees to you will be a combination of the SimpleTix service fee plus the payment processor fee.
- Example: The standard fee might be 79 cents plus 2% of the ticket price.
- If a credit card is used, an additional fee is charged (commonly Square’s processing rate in the US is 2.9% plus 30 cents per order for Card Not Present Transactions).
- If you are passing on credit card fees to the customer, the SimpleTix Fee is calculated on the sum of the ticket price and the estimated processing charge.
For a $20 ticket, you might see:
- SimpleTix service fee:
79 cents + (2% of $20 = $0.40) = $1.19
- Estimated Credit Card Fee
30 cents + 2.9% x ($20+$1.19) = $0.92 x 1.029 because Square charges the fee on this as well = $0.94
- Combined Service Fee:
$1.19 + $0.94 = $2.13
- We offer eligible Non-profits a discounted rate of 71 cents plus 2%. Please reach out to SimpleTix Support to have the discount applied.
- The discount applies to the SimpleTix service fee portion, with the payment processor fee remaining as determined by the processor.
- Even events that are ticketed as “free” may incur a small fee for reserved seating arrangements (e.g., a charge of 25 cents per ticket) to cover the costs related to seating design and management.
- Clarification:
- For events mixing free and paid tickets, check the fee policy carefully, as some cases might have different fee applications.
- GA and Flex Pass Free tickets are free. Reserved Seating comps incur a 25 cents charge
- Cash sales at the box office are a flat 25 cents
- All in-person sales in the SimpleTix Organizer App are a flat 25 cents
- Season Tickets are charged at 2% of the Season Ticket value + 79 cents per individual ticket in the Season Pass
