You can refund an order from the SimpleTix Manager Panel or the SimpleTix Organizer App. If the attendee paid with a credit card, the funds will be refunded to the same payment source.
Note: As of March 2023 - Square no longer refunds their service fees, so the original credit card transaction processing fee will be deducted from your bank account. Due to this, we recommend issuing a Square Gift Card (video) as a refund and not doing a credit card refund.
The steps below are for Event Organizers.
If you are an Attendee of the event looking for a refund, please contact the organizer directly.
To refund an order as an event organizer:
1. Log in here: https://manager.simpletix.com/
2. From the top menu, click Orders.
3. Within the Orders page, search for the order that you would like to issue the refund for.
- You can search using the Order Number, Name, Email, Phone Number, or the Last 4 Digits of the buyer's card.
4. Once found, select the order.
- Within the order details pop-up, click on Action > Partial or Full Refund.
This is best practice for reporting purposes. Click Next to proceed.
6. Select the ticket that you would like to refund. Tickets selected for a refund will be shown in a lighter grey color.
7. A message will pop-up to confirming your intent to proceed with the refund.
- Click Yes to finalize your changes.
