How to Refund an Order

You can refund an order from the SimpleTix Manager Panel or the SimpleTix Organizer App.
If the attendee paid with a credit card, the funds will be refunded to the same payment source.


Note: As of March 2023 - Square no longer refunds their service fees, so the original credit card transaction processing fee will be deducted from your bank account. Due to this, we recommend issuing a Square Gift Card (video) as a refund and not doing a credit card refund.


The steps below are for Event Organizers

If you are an Attendee of the event looking for a refund, please contact the organizer directly.



To refund an order as an event organizer:



  • Search for the order that you would like to issue the refund for



  • Click on Action > partial or full refund




  • Select the reason, as this is a best practice for reporting purposes



  • Select the ticket that you would like to refund

  • Refunded tickets are shown in a lighter grey color
