How to Edit a Seating Chart

SimpleTix allows you to edit a previously created seating chart. 

This saves you the hassle of having to re-create the same seating layout from scratch.


To edit a seating chart:


1. Go to manager.simpletix.com


2. From the top menu, click on Venues

3. Search for the venue you'd like to edit. 

  • Certain venues may have different events tied to them. 

  • Makes sure you select one that matches the event you'd like to edit.

4. Click on Edit Seating

5. You'll now see your event's seating chart.

6. Click on the Select Tool.

7. Highlight the row(s) you'd like to edit

8. On the right panel, you can change the category, row curve, and more for the selected rows.

9. Section, Row, and Seat Labeling are locked by default. 

  • This prevents possible errors for a live event.
  • You can bypass this by clicking the Edit button.

10. You also have the option to add more rows. 

Click the Row tool and place them into the canvas.

11. If your venue has a tabled layout, use the Table Tool instead.

12. Click the image tool to add pictures or your logo to the seating chart.

13. Click the icon tool to indicate common areas within your venue.

14. You'll have several icon options on the right panel, such as the toilet area, bar area, fire exit, and more.

16. You can drag your image to the right panel or click on the grayed area to upload.

18. Click the Focal Point Tool to adjust the focal point of your venue.

20. Place it near the stage or where most of the attendees will gravitate their attention toward

21. From the top left, click Publish to apply your changes.

23. Scroll down to the bottom right and click Save to finalize your changes.
