Create an event in SimpleTix, pick the right event type, and dive into setup with a quick reference to GA, Flex Pass, and Reserved Seating.
After verifying your account, it’s time to create your first event!
1. Pick the Right Event Type
SimpleTix supports three main event types: Flex Pass, General Admission, and Reserved Seating. Each has unique benefits, so be sure to review them before finalizing.

General Admission (GA)
- The workhorse event type - unless you know otherwise, you probably want to create a General Admission event
- Supports single times and multiple times
- Suitable for events that don’t need seat selection (concerts, timed entries)
- Supports capacity limits, recurring timeslots, or season tickets
- Also supports Virtual / Online Events with no set Venue. Perfect for webinars or anything not happening in the physical world.

Reserved Seating (RS)
- Patrons select specific seats from a chart
- Great for theaters, stadiums, or multi-date seat subscriptions (season tickets with assigned seats)
- Added complexity of managing exact seat assignments

Flex Pass
- Ideal for come-and-go or unlimited re-entry (e.g., farm passes, festivals)
- Multi-scan tickets, no seat assignments
- Not associated with any start or end time
