Quick Summary

For a more detailed breakdown, see Choosing the Right Event Type.

  • General Admission (GA)

    • The workhorse event type - unless you know otherwise, you probably want to create a General Admission event
    • Supports single times and multiple times
    • Suitable for events that don’t need seat selection (concerts, timed entries)
    • Supports capacity limits, recurring timeslots, or season tickets
    • Also supports Virtual / Online Events with no set Venue. Perfect for webinars or anything not happening in the physical world.
  • Reserved Seating (RS)

    • Patrons select specific seats from a chart
    • Great for theaters, stadiums, or multi-date seat subscriptions (season tickets with assigned seats)
    • Added complexity of managing exact seat assignments
  • Flex Pass

    • Ideal for come-and-go or unlimited re-entry (e.g., farm passes, festivals)
    • Multi-scan tickets, no seat assignments
    • Not associated with any start or end time
