SimpleTix allows you to password-protect a specific ticket category.
This can be used to hide or limit ticket sales to members-only or VIP-only, have specially priced tickets, and more.
To password protect a ticket:
1. Go to manager.simpletix.com
2. Once logged in, from the top menu click on Events.
3. Search for your event name.
4. Click on the event to edit.
5. On the left panel, click Times & Tickets.
6. Click on the event time that you'd like to edit.
- If you only have one event time for the event, it'll automatically open.
7. Once inside the event time, scroll down to your preferred ticket category and click Settings to the right of it.
8. Check on Password Protect This Ticket to enable it.
9. Type in your preferred password for the ticket.
10. Choose if the ticket is visible prior to entering the password.
- If YES - The ticket will be visible but will not be purchasable unless the password is entered.
- If No - The ticket will be completely hidden as an option for the event until the password is entered.
11. Once done, scroll up and click Save to finalize your changes.
12. To copy a link for the event with the password already activated click the copy link icon next to your password.
- This will allow you to share a link to the event without having the need to type in the code.
- This is useful for limited-time promotions, sharing with members, VIPs, etc.
- You can only have one password or discount code active per order.
13. To manually enter the code, go to your event site and attempt to purchase a ticket. Click on "Have a promotional code?"
14. Enter your password and click Apply.
15. This will now reveal or activate the purchase option for the password-protected ticket category.
