If you're an exhibitor at an event, we offer an easy way to collect attendees' data.
This is a free service; SimpleTix does not charge any fees for this.
Before the event
- Download an app to scan QR codes; we recommend CodeReadR
- Register for the account
- Log into your email to validate your account
- At this point - we recommend upgrading to the first paid level. Otherwise, you will be limited to just 50 scans.
- Now delete the 2 sample services
- Click on ADD A SERVICE
7. Click on Record Scans
8. Click on Create Service
5. For the name - type the name of the event and it's start date
6. Click on Save and Continue
7. On the next page - Click on Save and Continue
8. Click on Create a Question
9. Give it a name, type "Special Notes"
10. Select Multiple Line
12. Click on Create
13. Click on Save and Continue
14. Check Allow users to delete scans saved on device.
15. Check Allow users to edit answers saved on device.
16. Click on Save and Continue
17. Click on Done
Now scan tickets, and you can enter special notes, here's an example:
1. Go to secure.codereadr.com
2. Click on View Scans
3. Click on Export Templates
4. Click on Create One
5. Type "export attendee"
6. Click on highlight
7. Click on highlight
8. Drag highlighted element
9. Click on Save template
10. Click on Services
11. Click on View Scans
12. Click on export attendee
13. Click on Download Data
14. Click on Download
15. Go to https://webhooks.simpletix.com/ImportScans/Import.aspx
16. Find the file upload menu - Select the .csv that you downloaded from CodeReadR
17. Type your email address
18. If you requested notes, Click YES - Did you record notes for each scan?
Presto - check your email for the results.
