SimpleTix Custom Emails with Zapier + Gmail

Modified on Sun, 10 Sep, 2023 at 11:21 AM

SimpleTix's integration with Zapier + Gmail allows you to send custom emails depending on the kind of ticket purchased. This lets you automatically send out special inclusions, instructions, or vouchers directly via email the attendee's email.

To start, create a free Zapier account or log in with an existing one here - https://zapier.com

1. Once logged in, click create a Zap.

2. Search and select SimpleTix

3. From there, choose New Order

4. On the next screen, click Connect a new account. If you've previously linked a SimpleTix account, simply choose it from the dropdown. Once you have your account linked, click Continue.

5. Choose the order status you'd prefer to trigger the email, then click continue.

6. On the next screen, choose Test your Trigger. This allows Zapier to fetch the latest order details from your SimpleTix Account and for you to verify if the account synced properly. If your event isn't public yet, it’s best to create a trial order so you can verify the information.

7. After confirming the correct order, click Continue.

8. For the next step, set a Filter. This lets you specify the ticket type that triggers the email.

9. Under the section shown below, choose the field that contains the ticket type. For this example, it’s “Order Items Section”. Set it to Text contains, or text matches exactly. You then set it to the name of your ticket. In this case, it’s General Admission then click Continue. You can create several of these zaps for each ticket type so they each receive a unique email.

10. In the next section, select Gmail. Then set the event as Send Email.

11. Associate the Gmail account where you want the emails to come from.

12. Fill in the email details. Make sure that the “To” section is associated with the order purchaser's email. Once done, click Continue.

13. On the next screen Click Test action. You’ll get a confirmation that the email was sent. Click Publish Zap for the auto emails to go live.
