There are three ways to change the tickets in someone's order
1. Same Event Time change for General admission tickets
Example: Changing a Regular Admission Ticket to SimpleTix Fairs from Friday at 12pm to Saturday at 12pm
a. Click the pencil button next to GA tickets:
b. You will see an option to change selected ticket times:
c. Staff can then select a new time and reschedule the customer.
Note that these only work for General Admissions events with multiple times and will only let customers switch into the same ticket at a different time (i.e., a Regular Admission Friday into a Regular Admission Saturday).
2. General Admission customer initiated time change: can now send a special link to a customer to change their own time by clicking on Action > Get Change Time Link. This link will work even if the event is over or if time changes are generally disabled. This can save you money on offering refunds to customers and simplify getting new links if the customer missed their order confirmation email.
a. Click Action > Get Change Time Link. Copy and send to the customer
b. When the customer opens the link they will be able to easily reschedule their ticket:
3. Reserved seating, flex pass, and other changes:
Examples: Changing a customer from SimpleTix Musical on Jan 1st to SimpleTix The Play on Jan 8th (these are different events so can't be changed). Upgrading someone from a Regular Admission ticket to a VIP admission ticket (these are different tickets). Moving someone's seat at a reserved seating event.
1. Delete the old ticket by clicking the pencil button and selecting delete on the tickets you want to swap.
2. Click Action > Add another ticket
3. Select the tickets you want to add, set the price to 0, and add them to the order. Note you will need a credit card on file with SimpleTix to make changes of this type.
