How to Cancel Your Event (Standardized Process)
Before You Begin
Be aware that cancellation may result in financial consequences, including non-refundable fees and Square fee non-refunds. Review your event details carefully before proceeding.
Consider canceling or rescheduling only when absolutely necessary. Evaluate attendee impact and refund policies to ensure that adjusting event dates aligns with your overall strategy.
- You can only cancel an event before its end time.
- Cancellation options vary based on whether you’re canceling a full event or specific time slots.
- Square does not refund its fees, so using refunds via a Square Gift Card (if enabled) can help you avoid losing these fees.
Step-by-Step Cancellation Guide

Log in to Manager Portal

Locate Your Event
- Click “Events” in the top navigation rail.
- Find and click on the event you need to cancel.

Begin the Cancellation Process
- In the left-hand navigation, click “Order Management.”
- Select the “Event Cancellation” button.
If this button isn’t visible, you might instead need to disable ticket sales and manage refunds manually. Please contact SimpleTix Support if you’re unsure.

Choose the Cancellation Type
When prompted, select one of the following scenarios:A. Full or Multiple Occurrence Cancellation
- Cancel the entire event or multiple dates at once.
- You will be guided through selecting all affected dates.
B. Single Occurrence Cancellation
- If canceling a single scheduled time, you have three options:
- Refund to Square Gift Card (if enabled on your account)
- This method avoids losing any fees since Square does not refund processing fees.
- Switch Tickets to a New Event Time
- Convert all tickets to match a new time slot.
- Ask Attendees to Choose a New Time
- Attendees receive instructions to select from available time slots corresponding to their current ticket types.
- Refund to Square Gift Card (if enabled on your account)

Notify Attendees
- You may choose to notify your attendees immediately during the cancellation process.
- Simply opt to send an email notification.
Note: While email notifications remain available, the text messaging option is no longer supported.
Handling Bulk Refunds
- Bulk Refund Process
- If you would like to place a bulk refund for an event that has passed please go to this form
- Complete the form with detailed information about the event and refund amounts.
- Submit the form.
- Send an email to SimpleTix Support from the Account Owner’s email approving the request.
