You can refund an order from the SimpleTix box office. If user paid with a credit card or PayPal the funds will go right back to their same account. (Right now we do not support refunds on WorldPay, PayFast, and Acceptiva gateways)


Setup Steps:

  1. First ensure you have "Refunds" enabled. Go to Settings & Options > Settings > Box Office. Ensure Allow Refunds is set correctly.
  2. If you would like to have an email go to the customer after the refund, click the corresponding options here:


  3. The email that will be sent to the end-customer looks like this:


    The buyer name, event title, order number, and refund amount are dynamic.
    You can change this template to include more details. To modify the template go to: Settings & Options > Settings > Other Settings. From this page select Email Template. Then here select: Order Refund from the list.



    Make any text changes and click save.




How to refund an order:

  1. Go to Box Office > View Orders. From here find the order.
  2. Click the order number to get to the view order page
  3. On the bottom of the page, click the Cancel & Refund order link.



  4. From the refund page you can choose to give a full refund or a partial refund.
