# Embedding SimpleTix Events & Widgets on Your Website

> Learn how to embed single events or multi-event widgets into your site using SimpleTix. Includes iframe button and pinboard or calendar widget instructions.

# Overview

SimpleTix makes it easy to **embed** your ticketing experience directly on your own website. This all-in-one guide covers:

## Introduction: What Is a “Widget”?

A **widget** is a snippet of **HTML/JavaScript code** (an `<iframe>`) that you place on your website. It allows your visitors to do the following without leaving your webpage:

* View event listings (single or multiple)
* Select tickets
* Complete purchases (if using an iframe embed)

SimpleTix provides several widget types depending on whether you want to embed a **single event** or **multiple events**.

## Single-Event Embed (Event-Level)

### Generate Embed Code for One Event

1. **Log In**:\
   [https://manager.simpletix.com](https://manager.simpletix.com)

2. **Select Your Event**:
   * Click **Events** in the top menu.
   * Choose the event you want to embed.

3. **Access Embed Options**:
   * In the event’s left-hand menu, look for **Embed**.

4. **Choose Embed Type**:
   * **Button Embed**: Places a button (e.g., “Buy Tickets”) on your site; when clicked, it opens the checkout (in a pop-up). You can customize the button text and color.
   * **Direct Embed**: Directly embeds the checkout form on your webpage, so visitors don't see a popup.

5. **Copy the Code**:
   * Click **Copy** or select the **HTML/JS** snippet manually.

6. **Paste on Your Website**:
   * Insert this code into your site’s HTML where you want the event button or iframe to appear.

## Multi-Event Widgets (Pinboard & Monthly Calendar)

SimpleTix offers two multi-event widgets to display multiple events on your site — **Pinboard** and **Monthly Calendar**. Both are available from the **Embeddable Widget** settings.

### Steps to Implement

1. **Open the Embeddable Widget Settings**
   * In [Manager Portal](https://manager.simpletix.com), go to **Settings** → **Embeddable Widgets**.

2. **Choose Your Widget**
   * **Pinboard Widget**: Displays events, memberships, and custom registration pages in a tiled or list-style view.
     * You can limit the number of items shown, hide event descriptions, or enable a search bar.
   * **Monthly Calendar Widget**: Shows upcoming events in a traditional calendar layout for an at-a-glance schedule.

3. **Customize & Copy the Code**
   * Adjust any widget-specific options (e.g., date range, description visibility).
   * **Copy** the provided HTML/JS embed code.

4. **Paste the Code on Your Website**
   * Insert the snippet where you want the widget to appear in your site’s HTML.

5. **Test & Refine**
   * Visit your site to confirm the widget displays correctly.
   * Make any final tweaks in the **Embeddable Widget** settings or via custom CSS if needed.

### Additional Considerations

* Some **WordPress themes** or site-building tools may conflict with embedded scripts.
* If you see layout or script conflicts, consult your web developer or check if your theme has specialized **iframe** handling.

## Testing the Widget

1. **Incognito Mode**: Ensures you’re not seeing cached content.
2. **Mobile/Responsive**: Check how your widget appears on phones or tablets.
3. **Publish**: If your site uses a CMS (e.g., WordPress, Squarespace), ensure you’ve published changes.

## Troubleshooting

* **No Events Showing**: Confirm the events are **Active** in SimpleTix and your embed code is placed in the correct spot on your site.
* **Only One Event Appears (Pinboard)**: Check if you’ve filtered your Pinboard to a single event or if other events are set to “Hidden.”
* **Embed Not Loading**: Look for **JavaScript errors** or plugin conflicts.
